Non-inductive Foil Strain Gages
The gage element is made of a special alloy which provides less magnetoresistant effect; also, the shape is designed to eliminate induction. Thus, the KFNB series foil strain gages can accurately measure strain under AC magnetic environments.
|Materials Resistive element||NiCr alloy foil|
|Operating temperature in combination with major adhesives after curing (°C)||PC-600: -196 to 150ºC
CC-33A: -196 to 120ºC
|Operating temperature in combination with major leadwire cables (°C)||Vinyl-coated normal-temperature low-noise 3-wire cable (L-13): -10 to 80ºC|
|Self-temperature-compensation (°C)||0 to 150ºC|
|Applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃)||11, 16, 23|
|Strain limits at normal temp. (approx. %)||1.0|
|Fatigue lives at normal temp. (times)||1x104 (±1500μm/m)|
Besides the silver-covered copper lead wire, KFNB strain gages with pre-attached lead cables are available on request.
When ordering, suffix the lead-wire cable code to the model number with a space in between.
For the gage with a low-noise vinyl-coated 3-wire cable 5 m long pre-attached
→ KFNB-5-350-C9-11 J5M3
