Foil Strain Gages for Plastics
The KFP series foil strain gages provide an applicable linear expansion coefficient of 65 x 10 –6 /ºC, which makes them suitable for strain measurement of plastics such as acrylic resin.
|Materials Resistive element||CuNi alloy foil|
|Operating temperature in combination with major adhesives after curing (°C)||CC-33A: -20 to 80ºC
CC-36: -20 to 80ºC
CC-35: -20 to 80ºC
EP-34B: -20 to 80ºC
|Operating temperature in combination with major leadwire cables (°C)||Polyester-coated copper wire: -196 to 80ºC
Vinyl-coated flat cable (L-6, L-7): -10 to 80ºC
|Self-temperature-compensation (°C)||10 to 80ºC|
|Applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃)||65|
|Strain limits at normal temp. (approx. %)||3.0|
|Fatigue lives at normal temp. (times)||1x106 (±1500μm/m)|
When ordering, suffix the lead-wire cable code to the model number with a space in between.
For the gage with 3 polyester-coated copper wires 10 cm long pre-attached
→ KFP-5-120-C1-65 N10C3
If no lead-wire cable code is suffixed, the gage is delivered with gage leads only.
(Silver-covered copper wires 25 mm long)
For details, please refer to the [Strain Gages with Pre-attached Lead Cables]
When bonding the KFP gage to difficult-to-bond material such as polyethylene with CC-33A, use the Surface Treatment Agent S-9B in combination.
