TEDS

TEDS is the acronym of Transducer Electronic Data Sheet, which is incorporated into transducer. By reading the electronic data from the transducer, the measuring instrument is automatically placed in proper measuring conditions without manual adjustment. The format of the transducer electronic data written in the sheet is provided in IEEE 1451.4. The data is roughly classified into the following 3 types:

Common data

Transducer identification data including the manufacturer identification code, model number code and serial number.

Template

Transducer performance data including the type of transducer, detecting physical variable, rated capacity, rated output, input resistance, recommended excitation voltage, date of calibration.

*Note: For transducers providing both positive and negative outputs, an average of both outputs is written as the rated output.
