Information on Our Effort to Comply with EU’s RoHS Directives

Aug 7, 2014

A new RoHS directive (2011/65/EU) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on July 1, 2011. Therefore, the existing RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) will become ineffective as the new Directive 2011/65/EU is implemented according to the effective dates of each category.
Please be informed of our plan to deal with the above change.

1. Applicable Category and Effective Date

Our products fall under Category 9 (Monitoring and Controlling Instruments) listed in Annex I to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The new RoHS Directive will take effect in two phases depending on whether it is industrial use or not: The first will concern products placed in the market beginning on July 22, 2014, and the second will concern those placed in the market beginning on July 22, 2017. Because our products fall under the “Industrial Monitoring and Controlling Instruments” category, the new RoHS Directive will take effect on products placed in the market on or after July 22, 2017.
We will progressively start to supply products that are compliant with the new directive.

2. CE Marking

In order to declare to the CE mark on a product, it must comply with the European RoHS Directive. The applicable directive differs by the product type, functions and other characteristics. Our website, brochures, instruction manuals and other specifications should be checked in order to determine the specific EU directive compliance of each product.
